Heartland - St. Joseph Chapter
The HEARTLAND Chapter #725 is located in Historic St. Joe Mo. "Where the Pony express began and Jesse James ended".
The Chapter was formed in Dec. 2001 by several conservation minded Sportsman with a vision and emphasis towards a common mission.
Our main objective is to promote QU's conservation and land management programs. We place strong emphasis towards habitat work to benefit the Bobwhite quail as well as all species of wildlife.
The Chapter's main focus area is the four county core of Andrew, Buchanan, Clinton, & Dekalb counties in Missouri. However we reach beyond those boundaries whenever possible and work with private landowners in all of NW MO. as well as NE Kansas. Together, we plan conservation projects, discuss habitat priorities, and network with other Sportsmen, Sportswomen, QU chapters and conservation organizations.
Our main fund raising event is an Annual Banquet held in St. Joe, usually in late winter on the Saturday Night of the weekend preceding the Superbowl.
We currently have 143 Adult members and 27 youth members.
If you are a Conservation minded person or group (whether you Hunt or not, it doesn't matter) this is your chance to be involved with a local organiztion that has National backing and support.
We get to see our dollars and efforts blossom into better wildlife habitat and more enjoyable outdoor experiences right here in our own back yard.
